Marie-Claire Blais, celebrated Quebec-born author, passed away on Nov. 30, 2021, at her home in Key West. She was born February 5, 1930 in Grantsville, MD to John and Leafie Platter Ohler. Curtis, and P.S. BARR, Harry He was a longtime Miami area resident. He was born April 7, 1876 in Westfield, MA. She had lived in Miami Shores for 20 years, and was a former resident of Chicago. Survivors include a daughter, Janet L. Ferro of Sanford; her mother, Etta S. Ingram of San Angelo, TX; a brother, William H. Banks of San Angelo, TX; and a grandson. FOGG, Jennie Interment was at Vista Memorial Gardens under the direction of Carl F. Slade Funeral Home. She was born November 24, 1913 in Lakeland. Services were held at St. James AME Church.
